Who we are

Future Operating Base ("FOB," "we," "us") is a free, independent resource built to help transitioning service members navigate military benefits. FOB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to make the app work:

• Email address — used to sign you in via a magic-link (passwordless) authentication system. We don't collect or store passwords.
• EAS date and branch of service — used to personalize your timeline and show you the right transition program names and dates.
• Progress data — which sections and benefits you've explored or checked off, so your progress can sync across devices.
• Usage analytics — general information about how the app is used (such as which features are opened and how often), used to understand what's working and what needs improvement.

If you use the app without signing in, your progress is stored locally on your device instead of our servers, and is not synced across devices.

How we use your information

Your information is used only to operate and improve Future Operating Base — to personalize your experience, sync your progress across devices, and understand how the app is used so we can make it better. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

How your information is stored

Account and progress data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend infrastructure provider, which stores data on our behalf using industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't take that responsibility lightly.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the app and understand how it's used, including our backend infrastructure provider (Supabase) and analytics tooling. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can use most of Future Operating Base without creating an account. If you've signed in and want your account or data deleted, self-service deletion isn't built into the app yet — email us at info@futureoperatingbase.com and we'll take care of it directly.

Children's privacy

Future Operating Base is intended for transitioning service members and veterans, and is not directed at or intended for use by children under 13.

Changes to this policy

As Future Operating Base develops — including ahead of the official November 10, 2026 launch — this policy may be updated to reflect new features or practices. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.
